A Sherlock Holmes of Neuroscience

The May 11 issue of the New Yorker has an article by John Colapinto about Dr. Vilayanur Ramachandran. In describing his work Dr.Ramachandran comments that although medical science is highly sophisticated and technical he relies on traditional diagnostic techniques. “The lack of technology actually forces you to be ingenious. You have to rely on your clinical acumen. You have to use your Sherlock Holmes-like deductive abilities to figure things out.”
